Works to clear vegetation on the boundary wall around the Malakoff are planned to take place on Wednesday, 11 and Thursday, 12 December, weather permitting.

St Ives Town Council’s £3.1 million project to restore and improve the historic Guildhall building is taking a major step forward with the exciting news that building firm, Classics Builders, are now onsite.

An Open Day is being held at the Old Vicarage Flats building between 10 am and 2 pm on Saturday, 16 November to enable local people to see what has been happening with the project ahead of the start of the major refurbishment works.

Work on re-designing the Terrace Junction in St Ives to improve pedestrian access and space, and discourage visitors from driving into the town centre is due to begin on Monday, 11 November.

Residents of St Ives and the surrounds are urged to take part in a survey going to 1500 households, should one drop through their letterbox this month.
