From providing grants for improving shopfronts in the town centre, creating new workspaces and renovating derelict buildings, to helping existing local creative, digital, construction, trade and manufacturing companies to expand or diversify the services they offer, or funding premises for new start-ups, the St Ives Town Deal Enterprise Grant Scheme is playing a key role in supporting local businesses and organisations.
Launched in 2022, the aim of the scheme is to boost the local economy and support sustainable regeneration. Open to all small and medium sized businesses in the St Ives Town Deal area, capital grants have been available for both existing businesses and start-up businesses.
The Enterprise Grant Scheme is in full delivery mode with over 65 projects contracted and at various stages of completion. Projects have ranged from small pieces of machinery to support businesses to adapt and grow to the upgrading of buildings to create additional work or retail space.
The impact of these investments on the town is starting to become evident as external renovations complete.

The Enterprise Grant scheme is one of nine projects which are being funded by the Government as part of the £19.9 million Town Deal for St Ives.
Projects awarded funding range from small grants to purchase equipment, improve shopfronts and remodel existing cafes and restaurants, to larger schemes to create new workspaces, expand premises and renovate derelict buildings.
