Final round of St Ives Enterprise Grant Scheme officially opens today for Expressions of interest

Small to medium sized organisations based within the St Ives Town Deal area who are looking for investment to expand or diversify their existing business are being invited to submit Expressions of Interest for funding from the fourth and final round of the St Ives Enterprise Grant Scheme.

Following three highly successful rounds of the scheme, which have seen over £1.7 million allocated to local projects and more than 70 jobs created or safeguarded, a final pot of £250,000 is available to support a fourth round of grants for capital projects.

Round four, which is being administered through Cornwall Council’s Economy and Skills Service, officially opens for EOI submissions today (Monday 9th June).

The deadline for submitting Expressions of Interest is 29 June.

Grants of between £2,500 and £150,000 will be available for capital works, including equipment, construction and building improvements both internally and externally for this final round of the scheme.  Applicants will need to demonstrate that their projects will create genuine step change for their business, do not displace trade from already established businesses and make clear contribution to the Enterprise Grant Scheme priorities.

Interested organisations and businesses are being asked to submit an initial Expression of Interest for review. Those successful at the first stage will then be supported to submit a full application.

Further information on the process is available on the Enterprise Grants website   https://www.cornwall.gov.uk/business-trading-and-licences/economic-development/town-deal-fund/town-deal-enterprise-grants

Projects awarded funding from the first three rounds range from improving renovating shopfronts to improve the look and feel of the town centre and drive footfall into businesses, creating new workspaces and renovating derelict buildings, to helping existing local creative, digital, construction, trade and manufacturing companies to expand or diversity, and funding new health and wellbeing services.

A full list of the 67 previously approved projects is available on the St Ives Town Deal website.
