St Ives Town Deal Newsletter 2025

We have just published the latest edition of the St Ives Town Deal Newsletter which contains the latest information about all our Town Deal projects.

The last few months have seen significant progress with our Town Deal projects.

St Ives Theatre company celebrated the completion of their project to transform their iconic building with a fantastic performance of the Wizard of Oz at Easter and have now opened their new café.

There are visible changes to the entrance of the Guildhall, including the erection of some eye-catching hoardings, with work taking place inside the building to remove the stage.

The timber frame structure for the new two storey Learning and Production Centre building at Leach Pottery is now in place.

Huge progress is being made with the Old Vicarage Flats housing project. A new ground source heating system has been installed, and work is currently taking place to excavate the ground floor and insulate and plasterboard the walls on the upper floors of the building.

Following the granting of planning permission for the St Ives Rugby Club project at the end of last year, a contractor will be appointed in the coming weeks.

Work is continuing to deliver LiveWest’s retrofit housing programme.

Good progress is being made in delivering schemes within the Low Carbon Transport Strategy.  Following the completion of the first Town Deal funded scheme – redesigning Terrace Junction – earlier this year, schemes at Consols and the first phase of the open space scheme at Malakoff have also been carried out.

Updates on these and all our other projects are available in our newsletter – you can read it here
